Since the core treatment is performed in Anaerobic Reactors which are established in underground tanks, with different design options in shape, they can be integrated into the existing architecture without losing any extra space. Their top slab can be used as e.g. as parking space or playground or can simply get covered with lawn and serve as landscape. Because the anaerobic stabilization achieves high effluent qualities in terms of organic pollution and suspended solids, requirement of polishing the water is minimized and the technologies used for the polishing like filtration, ozonation or disinfection will require only small space and can be integrated at any places flexibly.
